He has landed post 1, given that no winner has come from the rail for decades, it leaves open the possibility of a longshot springing a surprise.
Commandment and Further Ado bring solid, consistent form at graded level, along with the tactical pace that tends to appeal to those sticking with the front of the market.
Chief Wallabee and The Puma complete a tightly packed group of leading contenders, meaning the odds are compressed at the top end and more generous further down the list.
That setup creates room for mid-priced and bigger outsiders to offer value, particularly those who could improve for the occasion or benefit from the way the race unfolds.

Emerging Market
Emerging Market, trained by Chad Brown, is around 16/1 and is widely seen as a colt still on the rise rather than one who has already shown his full hand.
He arrives off a win in the Louisiana Derby, where he edged out Pavlovian by a head, and he again teams up with Flavien Prat.
At this price, he looks appealing when compared with shorter-priced rivals, given his ability to travel well and finish strongly over this sort of trip.
If the early pace becomes too strong, he could be one of those finishing best of all and hitting the frame at rewarding odds.
So Happy
So Happy, trading around 14/1, represents Mark Glatt and has been handed a favourable draw in gate 8.
That stall has a recent record of producing big runs, with Journalism finishing second from there in 2025 and Mage winning from the same position in 2023.
He may not have attracted as much attention as some others, but his win in the Santa Anita Derby shows he has the ability, and his early pace should allow him to sit just behind the leaders.
Importantly, he is not reliant on making the running, which gives jockey Mike Smith options depending on how the race develops.
The main concern is his limited experience, having raced only at Santa Anita and in relatively small fields. That lack of exposure may explain his current price.
Danon Bourbon
Danon Bourbon is available between 14/1 and 16/1 and looks like a horse who could appreciate the step up to the Derby distance.
The Japanese-trained runner faces a notable stat, with no Japanese horse having won the race, and only one placing from previous attempts.
Trainer Manabu Ikezoe and jockey Atsuya Nishimura will be hoping to change that, and his unbeaten record in Japan gives him a solid base to work from.
He remains something of an unknown quantity compared to many of his rivals, which could work in his favour if he proves better than his current rating suggests.
The lack of direct form against this level of opposition does bring risk, but the price reflects that uncertainty.
